Customer Appreciation Day

I get to hear about a lot of awesome projects that customers have planned when they buy my fabric. It’s not only exciting to hear about, and when I get emailed actual photos of finished work sent to me, I’m even MORE excited! I thought I’d take today to share a small batch of them sent by some great, crafty folk. And if you have any finished project photos using my textiles, please send them along and I’ll post them!

First off, we have Leanne’s exciting solution to jazzing up her office space in her company’s new building. For the last 21 years, she’s worked for the largest wine & liquor distributor in the US and while searching for a unique piece of artwork to personalize her new digs, she came across Just a Splash and says “I couldn’t resist.” (she’s also a quilter, so Leanne knows her fabrics!). She mounted it onto a canvas and is thrilled with the results, especially as it’s the first thing people see when they come in. Love it, Leanne, thank you!

Next, we have a sweet valance made by crafty gal Lilly, who tells me that after spending some formative years in South America and traveling to Mexico, she’s acquired a deep love for Otomi fabrics. She chose my Mexico Springtime: United Love fabric to go with her worldly style of interior design and was especially happy to add this organic cotton fabric to all the chemical-free and environmentally friendly things in her home. She says the greys and purples in the print enhance the lavender/grey “Lilly’s Cloud" color (created by her using Anna Sova food-based paints) in her dining room. Her next plan is to make a window seat cushion to go below those fun throw pillows. Great stuff. Thank you, Lilly!

Now, listen up all you diaper-changing mamas out there: here’s a really cute use of my Ice Cream Crime Scene fabric, sent in by Elizabeth over at thegoodmama.com. Want one of these bad boys for yourself while also supporting a cool little company? Yes? Yes! You can find it here! Looks super sweet if I say so myself! Thank you, Elizabeth!

And to round out this stellar batch of finished projects, I present you with this little charmer. I’m honored to now say that my textiles have officially entered the world of Blythe. I’ve seen many Blythe outfits over recent years and did wonder if my work would ever reach her. Well, ladies and gentlemen, thanks to the nimble fingers of Thea, my Mexico Springtime:Orange on Light Blue has been turned into the cutest dress for this little lady. I’d wear that! Check out more of Thea’s wonderful creations here. Thank you, my fellow Aussie gal!
