What Prezzies are You Makin’?

I know there are a slew of folks running around shopping their faces off today. I also know there are a slew of folks who are busy hand-making gifts today too. Like many people, I’ll be doing a combination of store-bought and handmade gifts (I will not, however, subject myself to crowds of mayhem, so I’ll shop locally and/or remotely, thank you all the same).

I’ve got two trusty toy bags and some gifts for The Bub’s school teachers already under my belt and I just need to figure what the heck else I’m going to make and what I have time for. I don’t have any sort of formal tree skirt and Mister Baby Pants still doesn’t have a personalized Christmas stocking, so those are top priority.

As far as completed sewing projects go, I was incredibly inspired this morning, when I received an email from Sue, who had written a couple weeks back to request a PDF of my Bear in a Boat tutorial from last year.

If you recall, my finished little guy looks like this:

So when I woke up this morning, checked my email and found that Sue had sent me a photo of her finished bear, I was over the moon. I mean, just LOOK at him!!!

I’m so utterly completely smitten seeing this guy! Not only because Sue has mad sewing skillz and totally nailed this project, but as a designer, I don’t always get to see the finished projects people make using my fabrics and sewing patterns.

So when people do take the time to share the fruits of their labor with me, I’m nothing short of ecstatic! (Let this be a giant hint to the rest of you to send in your finished photos!)

Thank you SO much, Sue! Congratulations on your soon-to-be new addition to the family and I’m sure this bear’s little recipient will simply love it!

To the rest of you, chop! chop! Let’s get makin’! Have a great weekend!
