Lots o’ Drawing

Now that the new year is underway, I’m attempting to get back into the post-holiday swing of things. Aside from a huge desire to purge the house of unwanted things, I’m also on a drawing tear. It seems to go in waves for me. I’ll want to create a batch of designs straight on my computer one minute and next thing you know, I’ve gotten bored and want to sit with pencils, pens and paper at the table (usually with baby in lap) and draw my time away.

I like the variety and tapping back into the tactile quality of good old fashioned drawing is highly fulfilling. It does generate lots of bits of paper which are starting to fill up my flat files, but that just means I have more drawers to purge. That’s what I get for being a maker of things. Things. And more things.

Here’s a mini sampling of some drawings currently on my clipboard. Some finished elements, some not. I have a whole lot more to get out of my head and onto paper. So while I continue with that, I’ll distract you with a great little mention in this fun interview on Sew, Mama, Sew!

And here’s a question for you: what would you like to see more of on my blog this year? More behind-the-scenes posts of the method to my madness, perhaps? Something else? Do tell!
